I started meeting Johann several years ago based on a recommendation I got. I was strength training but wanted to learn more about proper eating and nutrition. With Johann, I got to really learn about nutrition and how important proteins, vegetables, dairy and fruits were to my diet. He helped me plan my meals on workout days and non-work out days. Knowledge is power and with Johann, I learned so much about how to eat; what made me eat junk food and teaching me good habits about how I eat and how I should treat myself if I didn't reach my weight goal during a specific week. It's when Johann started to teach me about nutrition, I began to understand what the bad stuff does to my body. Johann is absolutely NON judgmental- I have always had notions that people who do nutrition counseling or train people may be judgmental. No matter what problem I brought to Johann (and I had many!), he always helped me out by figuring out how to overcome challenges and has always been sensitive and understanding to my needs. Being a vegetarian, I have always found it challenging to figure out what types of food I can eat to sustain a good diet which worked in conjunction to my workouts. Johann came up with so many different options for me to eat different foods that were delicious and complimented my workouts. I have learned a lot about myself and having met him was the best thing that could have happened. He is simply brilliant, caring, funny, understanding and best of all so very helpful during my journey to better eating. Wish I could give him more than 5 stars! =)

Johann has a vast knowledge in the field of strength and conditioning. Johann helped me put on 10+ pounds in the few short months we worked. We did many different exercises to develop power, strength, and endurance using: kettlebells, Olympic lifts, free weights. In the few short months, I learned to properly move my body, greatly helping me in and out of the gym.

I came to Johann at a very difficult time in my life. During my pregnancy with my son I gained 64 pounds. I continued to put on the weight after he was born, due to stress and mild depression. It was very difficult for me to lose weight and even harder keeping it off. Johann not only gave me confidence to push my comfort limits, he also helped me to believe in myself. I know it sounds kind of corny, but I am truly blessed with an awesome trainer. I've lost 26 pounds and I'm still going! He's taught me to change my life style (not just going on a diet). I have not put any weight back on, the numbers just keep going down. Thank you Johann for teaching me to believe in myself!
